About the Youth Academy
The Reach Climbing Academy is a program we have designed from the ground up to help develop talented youth climbers into stronger, more confident athletes. Our athletes meet up once or twice weekly to train with their coaches and often attend multiple athlete-lead sessions throughout the week.
Athletes who are a part of the academy represent The Reach at local and national level competitions and are often supported by our highly experienced in-house coaching team whilst doing so. Away from competitions our climbers are encouraged to experience a variety of different climbing styles and environments, we facilitate this through off site coaching events, outdoor climbing trips, and varied in-house route setting.
The Reach Climbing Academy is a small inhouse program that we are constantly improving and expanding. All athletes who join the academy will receive some Academy merch, an unlimited climbing pass for the centre and a personalised self-development training plan (age dependant).
Requirements
- Ages 7 to 17
- All Potential athletes must be observed by our Youth Squad Coordinator before being offered a place int he academy.
